East Verde River

     
This was a Partnership Waters Program Project.
The goal was to improve the river’s habitat for trout which will also improved the habitat for the native headwater chubs that are present in the lower portions of the river…a species that will take a fly just like a trout!
Over $10,000 was raised and donated to Arizona Game and Fish Department to help pay for the cost of the improvements, not to mention volunteer labor provided by PFC members and others.
